Farah Zerehi

Farah Zerehi (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. Farah has worked in a variety of settings as a therapist including a county-contracted mental health agency, a sliding-scale community clinic, and two private practices.

Farah is trained in ERP and utilizes ERP, ACT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, relational work, and Motivational Interviewing when working with clients. Farah has experience working with a variety of issues including complex trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, parenting, substance use, domestic violence, immigration issues, commercial sexual exploitation of children, and, of course, OCD!

Farah engages in her therapeutic work through a lens of social justice and with great attention to sensitivity for the client’s intersecting identities. Farah was diagnosed with OCD in adulthood many years after she started struggling with symptoms so she intimately understands the need for high-quality, specialty, and individually-tailored care that is accessible in the community; she is passionate about closing the gap for others who might need OCD treatment.

Farah currently runs a private practice where she hopes to increase access to high-quality psychotherapy through sliding scale and insurance paneling. When Farah is not working, she loves to oil paint, practice ASL, hunt for mushrooms in the PNW with her partner, spend time with her favorite people, go backpacking, explore nature, and hang out with her rescue dogs. You can find her on Twitter @TherapistFarah.
